The Teams
From the first mention of a "BASS-BALL" game in the newly formed Town of Hamden in 1825 to post World War II, virtually every town throughout Delaware County that was situated along a railroad, had a baseball team. Here we seek to replicate how the old teams looked and played based on historical photos of the day.
Fleischmanns Mountain Athletic Club
Originally founded by yeast magnates Julius and Max Fleischmanns in 1895, the M.A.C. was resurrected in 2007
and their ballfield was listed on the National and State Registry of Historic Places in 2020.
Bovina Dairymen
The Bovina Dairymen epitomize the Delaware County spirit…home-grown in 2008 from the tightly-knit farming community where baseball has been played on hard scrabble fields for at least two centuries.
Polecat Base Ball Club
Hailing from the birthplace of baseball in Delaware County in 1825, the Polecats are a tribute to the Delhi and Hamden Clubs from the past.
Affiliates
More clubs have sprung up in the Hudson Valley including the Kingston Guards and Saugerties Base Ball Club. We wish them well in all their endeavors and you will surely see them on our circuit for many years to come.
